I have seen a tv series named Sherlock. There was this character named John watson. In the first episode itself his doctor suggests him to write a blog to let his feelings out. Now I am not in a position to check with a doc but i believe it can help somehow…
We all are going through very tough times. Now, may be nobody will read this but still I am writing because even this gives me a hope. I feel good after letting it all out even though nobody is going to read.
So I was saying We all are going through very tough times and a certain issue has been going around regarding opening of colleges and school.
So a few days back I was talking to friend who happens to be a training instructor in a village ITI.I was going on and on about how government is doing wrong. Opening schools right now is not good and it can affect the kids badly no parents will give their approval on this and then I asked her whether her institution is opening. She said yes. I asked how??didn’t you guys have to ask parents. She said we did and they all agreed to open it. I was surprised and judged the parents immediately. I thought what type of people are they. How can they send their kids to that place in this condition. I shared my thoughts with her and what she said changed my thought process on the ongoing situation as to how for some people Corona is secondary. They need money and food first then they will think about corona.
Now I tell you what she said..ITI is an institution in which after graduating you get job opportunities. Not very big ones but still there is a chance. Her ITI is in a village. The students there are from that village only. Due to the pandemic exams of Final year students were halted and they were not given general promotion due to which they did not gotten their degrees on time. They wanted jobs asap and for that they needed those degrees. For them degrees were more important than their health at that time.
This gave me a different outlook of the situation as how people with Internet access with sufficient amount of money have very different needs than people who are struggling to get basic necessities..
